Give the Gift of Life with the 12 Weeks of Giving Challenge!
Though it seems like Halloween was just

;a few days ago, the holiday season is now already upon us. As we all prepare for the busy upcoming months, the Heartland Lions Eye Banks would like to share an opportunity to help those in need this holiday season.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has launched a "12 Weeks of Giving Campaign," where everyone is encouraged to sign up for their state's donor registry. It is the Department's goal to sign up 400,000 new donors between November 2 and January 25, 2008.

To sign up for Missouri's donor registry, go to www.missouriorgandonor.com. The registry is completely confidential and takes only a minute to sign up. For any questions regarding the registry, please contact organdonor@dhss.mo.gov or call toll-free at 888-497-4564.
